STOP Training

PSP Mandates

Prerequisites:

  • Currently employed as a sworn peace officer

Course Details:

Instruction is 10 hours and 1 hour for lunch. 

Day 1 Hazardous Materials (4 hours)
First Aid/AED/CPR (6 hours)
Day 2 Range (4 hours)
Racial Profiling (2 hours)
Domestic Violence (2 hours)
Strategic Communications (2 hours
Day 3 Defensive Tactics (4 hours)
Use of Force Update (6 hours)
Day 4 EVOC Update (8 hours)
PIT Update or Stop Sticks (2 hours)

Equipment and Attire:

Students are required to wear closed toe shoes and pants for all instruction. Clothing should be suitable for exposure to weather elements.

Range: Duty belt, ballistic vest. we provide 9mm, 40 and 45 cal ammunition. If you use any other caliber, you will need to bring 200 round of pistol ammunition)

DETAC: Duty belt, mat or tennis shoes

EVOC: There is limited shade and seating outside of vehicles, so it is recommended students bring a sun shade and folding chair.
