Prerequisites:

We only accept agency sponsored recruits who have met all POST requirements required to become a law enforcement officer.

Course Details:

Instructional delivery is based on problem-based learning (PBL). Unlike lecture-based instruction, the Stanislaus Academy utilizes interactive learning activities, including role-plays, teach-backs, and live scenarios as the primary instructional methods. By emphasizing active learning, recruits improve their thinking, reasoning, and decision-making skills. Since PBL’s introduction into the basic academy in 2015, the passing rate of new officers from the field training officer (FTO) program has increased 8%, from 75% to 83%.
