PC 832 Arrest and Control Course

The Arrest component has a 40-hour requirement, and includes a 100-question, multiple-choice written examination and several skill examinations on Arrest and Control Techniques.

PC 832 Firearms Course

The Arrest and Firearms (PC 832) course consists of two components, which total a minimum of 64 hours. The Firearms component has a 24-hour requirement, and includes a firearms range qualification examination.

Prerequisites:

No felony convictions or firearms restrictions.
Obtain a LIVESCAN FINGERPRINTING Clearance Letter (Results may take up to 4 weeks).
Register on the Stanislaus County Sheriff Regional Training Division Website.
Pay applicable fees to the Stanislaus County Sheriff.

Course Details:

The PC 832 Arrest Course serves as the foundational training standard for limited peace officers in California, meeting the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Regulation 1005 requirements.
This 40-hour course covers 13 Learning Domains, encompassing essential knowledge and skills for arrest and control techniques.
Assessment includes a multiple-choice written exam and skill examinations. A pass is required for certification.
Location: 3805 Cornucopia Way, Modesto, CA (Attendance at the first session is mandatory).
