We offer comprehensive training through our PC 832 courses, covering essential aspects of law enforcement. Here's an overview of what you need to know:

PC 832 Arrest and Control Course

The Arrest component has a 40-hour requirement, and includes a 100-question, multiple-choice written examination and several skill examinations on Arrest and Control Techniques.

PC 832 Firearms Course

The Arrest and Firearms (PC 832) course consists of two components, which total a minimum of 64 hours. The Firearms component has a 24-hour requirement, and includes a firearms range qualification examination.

PC 832 Firearms Course

Pre-requisites:

  1. Agency Sponsored Only: This course is exclusively for agency-sponsored employees.
  2. LIVESCAN FINGERPRINTING Clearance Letter: Results may take up to 4 weeks and must be presented on the first day of class. No felony convictions or firearm restrictions.
  3. Registration: Register for the course through the Stanislaus County Training Center.
  4. Fees: Pay applicable fees to the Stanislaus County Sheriff.

Course Overview:

  • The PC 832 Firearms Course is a minimum introductory training standard as specified in POST Regulation.
  • This 24-hour course focuses on essential firearm handling and safety.
  • The course includes a firearms range qualification examination, graded on a pass/fail basis with one re-test opportunity.
  • Completion of this course meets the requirements of PC 12050 for the application of a carry concealed weapons permit (CCW).

Location and Equipment Requirements:

  • First Day Location: 3805 Cornucopia Way, Modesto, CA (Attendance on the first day is mandatory).
  • Equipment Needed: Participants are required to bring:
    • Semi-Automatic Firearm (9mm, .40 caliber, or .45 caliber)
    • 3 Magazines
    • 900 rounds of Ammunition
    • Eyes and Ear Protection
    • Long Pants, Shirt with Sleeves, Hat, Full Covered Shoes (No V-neck or scoop neck T-Shirts)
    • Holster and Magazine Pouch
